About

“I was always fascinated by musical instruments - when I was 8 years old the sounds they made seemed like magic.”

Guitarist
At 10 years of age I began learning guitar with correspondence books mailed to my home. Chords and more chords!
When I joined my first covers band that magic of chords and sounds became real as we played songs from the 50’s and 60’s. From Johnny B Goode to House of the Rising Sun - there was so much to learn.
Playing in a band was the best apprenticeship I could have had and in a few years I was playing at all types of functions from house parties to weddings.
The '70s
The years rolled on and the 70’s rolled in. My musical tastes expanded as I started listening to Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Santana and in later years Dire Straits.
My taste for new songs was insatiable. I was learning a new song every week, buying music sheets from my local record store and cassettes galore.
To Today
After years of playing in wedding bands and rock bands in Melbourne I found a new passion when I moved to the Gold Coast.
I discovered a whole world of Blues music and artists. Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Eric Clapton and Gary Moore and bands like Pink Floyd and Steely Dan.
This expanded my knowledge to where I am today as my repertoire of songs is vast and still increasing.
